A COPA NO PANTANAL: UMA ANÁLISE SOBRE OS PREPARATIVOS PARA A RECEPÇÃO DA COPA DO MUNDO DE 2014 EM CUIABÁ/MT

O tema deste trabalho versa sobre a preparação para recepção da Copa do Mundo de 2014 em Cuiabá/MT. Trata-se de um estudo acerca dos preparativos da Capital de Mato Grosso para sediar jogos da Copa do Mundo de Futebol em 2014. Os objetivos da pesquisa são basicamente: (a) Investigar o processo de preparação da cidade de Cuiabá/MT para sediar jogos da Copa de 2014 e (b) Verificar e analisar as percepções da população cuiabana acerca dos benefícios trazidos pelo Megaevento (Copa do Mundo). Por se tratar de uma pesquisa qualitativa, utilizamos como técnicas: revisão bibliográfica, pesquisa documental, entrevistas, fotografias, filmagens, entre outros.

The theme of this work in preparation for receiving the 2014 World Cup in Cuiabá / MT. This is a study about the preparation of the capital of Mato Grosso to host games of World Cup Soccer 2014. The research objectives are primarily: (a) investigate the process of preparing the city of Cuiabá / MT to host World Cup matches in 2014 and (b) verify and analyze the perceptions of the population cuiabana about the benefits of the mega event (World Cup) Because it is a qualitative research, we used techniques: a literature review, desk research, interviews, photographs, films, among others.
