Este trabalho contempla a pesquisa da Educação Psicomotora como um aspecto imprescindível para o desenvolvimento integral de crianças da Educação Infantil, tratando com exclusividade a fase Pré II desta modalidade, foco desta pesquisa. As atividades realizadas na Educação Infantil podem admitir diversos objetivos, mas sabemos que muitas vezes não há uma mediação do educador, neste contexto, para que elas contemplem recursos para o desenvolvimento psicomotor como entendemos ser necessário para o desenvolvimento integral dos alunos. Neste estudo analisa-se então, a sincronia existente entre as duas funções, motora e psicológica, e a importância de seu desenvolvimento para a Educação Infantil. Apresentam-se os dados referentes à pesquisa de campo realizada em uma escola municipal de Sinop/MT, onde se estabelece um diálogo entre teoria e prática e se busca explicitar os termos inerentes ao título com conceitos e definições, situando-os ao ambiente pesquisado, estes dados foram coletados através de consulta de documentos da escola e da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, questionário estruturados, entrevistas semi-estruturadas e observações semi-dirigidas. Sendo assim, alguns argumentos de resposta utilizados pelos entrevistados são suportes para a confirmação ou confrontação das ideias dos autores, a legislação vigente da Educação Infantil é citada aqui como parâmetro para as demais discussões. A base estrutural desta pesquisa segue de acordo com A. De Meur, L. Staes e Jean Le Boulch, não deixando de citar Gislene de Campos de Oliveira que nos oportuniza a comunicação com demais precursores desta temática. Pode-se constatar que a sala de aula pesquisada é exclusivamente o cenário de aprendizagem das escritas e números, com algumas atividades de coordenação fina e óculo-manual e jogos “educativos”, ficando a disciplina de Educação Física responsável pelo desenvolvimento, ou não, das demais habilidades descritas nos elementos da psicomotricidade, o que dependerá da formação profissional e/ou pessoal desse educador.

This paper approaches the Psychomotor Education as a fundamental factor for the full development of children on the Preschool Education focusing on the nursery schools. The activities performed on Preschool Education may allow several goals but it is known that many times there is not an interaction with the teachers in this context,  that  contemplate psychomotor development resources as we believe to be necessary for full development of students. On this paper the relation between the motor and psychological functions, as well as its importance for the Preschool Education are analyzed. The data presented was collected on a municipal school from Sinop-MT, where a dialogue between theory and practice is established and the intrinsic terms, related to the title with definitions and concepts are searched. All the data was collected through semi-structured questionnaires and interviews, observations and the consultation of documents from the school and from the City Department of Education. Therefore some arguments used on the answers given by the interviewers support the confirmation (or confrontation) of the authors’ ideas, utilizing the Preschool current legislation as a parameter for the other discussions. This research is based on the works of A. De Meur, L. Staes e Jean Le Boulch and it is also important to mention Gislene de Campos de Oliveira which gives the opportunity to communicate with other precursors on the study of this subject. It can be seen that the classroom researched was focused exclusively on the learning of numbers and writing, with some activities of Eye-Hand and fine motor coordination as well as educational games, while the other abilities of the psychomotricity  rest upon Physical Education activities to be, or not, developed  depending on the professional, or personal, formation of the teacher.
